Emily, please tell us about yourself.

I am a new artist in the chutney music industry. I released my first song Yeh Mera Dil in May 2023, and since then I have released 6 more songs. Releasing music, music videos and collaborating with other artists and producers has been very fulfilling for me. I hope to continue this for years to come.

What is the most memorable event that happened to you?

Travelling to the Netherlands to perform for the very first time in January was the most memorable experience. It was an opportunity I didn't expect and I am very proud of how hard I worked to make the most of it. It was my first time performing with a live band, the Energy band, and I had the best time. It was also my longest set at the time, which was intimidating but so fulfilling. In the Netherlands, I had my first band rehearsal, an interview on the radio, and filmed my music video Aye Mausam.

What keeps you busy professionally?

Being in this industry, there is always something to do. Whether it's class, show prep, learning new songs or techniques, events, editing footage, arranging music videos, talking with producers, it's never a dull moment. Keeping up with social media as well is another big part of it, not so much in the sense of posting but in the engagement you have with your supporters. That is very important to me, and I am very grateful for all the supporters I have.

How has your work-life balance changed over time?

I think it's definitely unbalanced right now. I'd say it's about 90% work, 10% life, but I wouldn't trade it for anything. I love being busy doing what I love and I wouldn't want it any other way. It brings me the most joy and I grateful to be busy doing what I love.

Special Shoutouts:

My parents are my pillars of strength. Like everyone, I have my bad days, but my parent's unwavering support in anything I set my mind to allows me to keep going and pushes me forward. I know I can and will accomplish everything I set out to do because of them.

At last, any advice for the readers?

Tune out the noise, and do what makes you happy.
